Picture on Romance Scammer list.
This person claimed to be from the Denver area. Contacted me on Match -
has been known to be on Cupid Bay as Mark Johnson. Widowed with a daughter who is living with his Grandmother in Port Clinton, Ohio.Said from Holland so that is what I attributed the broken English to... Went to Nigeria to do an engineering job. But, of course, needed his paycheck cashed so as to leave and come here for a "forever life." He is very consistent with emailing and IMing on yahoo messenger. After 2 months of being "in the dark" I became wise as to what was happening. No matter what he defended himself, ultimately pointing the finger at me saying I was just a total fool not to believe him. *I have just discovered a profile on yahoo personals with him known as Dominick in Golden, Co.I've no idea if it's a scam or if it's the guy for real. The profile seems more realistic and the English is without fault. If it is for real I'm hoping to tell him his pics were used. Please reply........

I had also been contacted by a guy on match.com. His details said he was a widower and that he had an 8 year old daughter. I received an email from him through match to say this was his email address and to contact him directly. Which like a fool I did. We spent hours on MSN in a couple of days, where with hindsight I realised now that he was finding out as much info about me as possible.

I was a little worried because he seemed too good to be true. He said he was currently in Benin finishing of an architect job and would be back in the UK in a couple of weeks. He gave me his mobile number which was I later found out to be from Nigeria.

Then he claimed that his mobile wasn't working and could I send him a new one, he wanted a new iphone, I started to feel uneasy asked for more pictures, which he sent, but when he rang there was something about his accent that didn't seem right. He demanded I send him a phone and DVD's etc. Then one morning I got a txt to say he and his daughter were really ill the doctor had been called. Later that day I got another text to say they were both being rushed to hospital. `Then finally at the end of the day I got a call from him saying that his daughter needed an urgent treatment and if I didn't send him £2000 his daughter woudl die. I aid I didn't have that kind of month, and after a lot of abuse and threatening he said send me £500 then. I put the phone down.

A couple of days later I tried to get into my hotmail account and I couldn't the password had changed, I realised it was him so I rang him up and said what was he playing at. He said he wanted money and once he had that he would give me my new password. He went in and changed my match.com password as well. He read out some emails from my box just to prove that he was in it.

I reported it straight away to the police who could do nothing, to match.com and if any of you have tried that it is really hard to get to anyone and explain the seriousness of what has happened. And the to get hold of microsoft to help was a totl nightmare.

I know have access to my hotmail account again and all the other things that he changed. But he has my home address and I like a lone and it is very unsettling and scarey not knowing what these people are going.

His name was LUKE HARDY but he also mentioned HARRISON SMITH

his email address is lkhd20m@hotmail.co.uk

and his mobile number is 002348025748676

OH MY GOD!!! I had corresponded with Bruce "Dave" Wilson too. It's been almost a year. He was in Nigeria working for the government building a bridge. He was widowed with an 8 year old daughter who lived with his grandmother and he had a house in Denver Colorado. We talked for months on the phone and the internet. He asked me if I could send him some money so he could come home and cash his check cause they were wanting 40% over there. And that when he got back, we'd get together. He kept giving me sob stories, so I was VERY NIEVE and did it. He ended up taking me for $1550. I bought his plane ticket and on the way to the airport he was supposedly in a car accident and somebody took his ticket. My brother called the hospital over there after they had sent me an email with his passport and everything and the "doctor" told my brother that he was in the hospital. Then when he FINALLY did get home, I called his house and he acted like it wasn't him on the phone. He had said he doesn't like people calling him. And then the FBI was supposedly after him for leaving Nigeria without paying his bill and of course I fell for it AGAIN!! He had his daughter, "Nancy" calling me "mom" and his grandmother was calling me "daughter". Everybody tried to tell me it was a scam, but I wouldn't believe it. He then wanted me to open a checking account and give him the number so he could "wire" the money that he owed to me and I told him I was going to fall for that AGAIN. I still have the wires from where I sent him money over there. I can't believe he did this to me...So, please don't fall for his smooth words of a happy life. He's not rich like he says he is and he doesn't own a home in Kentucky. I've had to learn the very hard way and I don't want anybody else to do it. I wish there was a way I could get my money back. Then he tried it again using another Dave Wilson who was also in Nigeria doing government work and his 18 year old daughter was over there with him and was in the hospital with malaria. He wanted me to send him money to pay the bill so they would treat her. And I told him that I wasn't falling for that again. And he told me that I was going to let his daughter die and I said that I'm not the one who took her over there. And that another guy with the same name had already used me for something like that and that it's not working again. He had his grandmother talk to me on here and say he was sorry, he didn't use me and that he loved me. DON'T BELIEVE HIM OR HER OR EVEN THE KID!!!
