I am ashamed to say that I fell pray to this pathetic scam. I was screwed out of my entire savings and I am a single mother of a little boy. And it was on Singleparentmeet.com the person seemed quite normal, even spoke on the phone several time. The sad part is where do these Nigerians get pictures of Seemingly normal American men with children? Its absolutely disgusting to me that we live in a world where people go to such extreme lengths to scam an innocent single mother. Granted I should have been smarter and more aware but when these people are saying all the right things its very hard not to believe them. They person even went as far to send me flowers, chocolates and stuffed animals, even phony Airline tickets. It is just disgusting to me and now where does it leave someone like myself, left to pick up the pieces and work now 3 jobs to support me and my son! I am outraged and this whole thing should be stopped.

I too met a nigerian scammer on Match.com. He was a 47 year old widower originally from Holland, recently relocated from PA to Phoenix AZ. He was hoping to start a new life after losing his wife and two children in a "terrible auto accident" four years ago. He is a geologist working in Benin and returning to AZ any day. He purchased diamonds to bring back as an investment but didn't have enough cash to pay the duty. Seems odd they wouldn't accept a credit card! He promised a new home, to live where ever I chose, travel, honeymoon in Paris..... you name it, he had it! He never did ask me for money and I certainly never offered. When I figured out the scam and confronted him he claimed not to understand and deny everything. He promised to e-mail when he returned to Phoenix the following day. Haven't heard fro m him, but I have reported him to every agency I could think of.
His e-mail was j.robert78@hotmail.com. He went by the name Robert James. If you hear from him RUN!!! They don't get much lower than swearing their undying love on the graves of their children. There is a special seat in hell for these guys.

don't be ashamed, you are not in any minority, I am an intelligent(at least so I thought) wordly woman who also fell foul of such a scam and did not listen to my gut instincts(and I am trained to do so) and was conned out of a large sum (large to me anyway) of money. I have spoken to my scammer since and he has 'sincerely' apologised, but of course I don't believe his apology because he 'sincerely' told me he was falling in love with me. If you look on the sites(which I unfortunately did AFTER i had read all the bloggs and warnings, his story fell into the classic pattern, but a the time I was absolutely convinced -it was a lady in the British Embassy in Nigeria who eventually wrote to me and told me she was 99% certain I was victim of a scam and not to send any more money. All I am guilty of is hoping to find the perfect man -if ever one of thse exists -so do not feel ashamed of also wanting some happiness -just be like me now, a bit wiser and a bit more wary.
This guy says he was from New Zealand, moving to USA to live with an Uncle after his mother killed his father and then committed suicide when he was just 16. He mover to UK after he found his wife in bed with his best man -he has no-one. He says he has a hous ein Cleveland Ohio, owns a silver BMW in the UK and crs and a Harley Davidosn in the states. He said that he now lives in Castle Vale Birmingham. As a dealer, he went to Malaysia to pick up antiques for a buyer in the US and then moved on to Nigeria to finish the commission. Once in Nigeria he 'had his luggage stolen' with all his money in it. He needed some'cash upfront' until his money transfer came through from Malaysia, esle he would be thrown out of his hotel. He gave me the hotel name of Bijou in Liverpool Road, Lagos, I desisted for quite some time but he was some actor. This scam continued when he then had to 'pay fines' for importing money into the country -by now I was his 'guardian Angel' and it kinda tugs at your heart strings. Shame I did't think of looking on sites. He was one good looking guy in the photos. His match.com name was loveambassador and his e mail address loveadvocate47@yahoo.com

I read your email and email address and the story about the wife found in the bed sounds like pretty much the same story, this person was trying to fed to me but he was on Yahoo.personals he told me he lived in Chesapeake, Va and was a soccer agent. Was in Nigeria to recruit Soccer Players. I smelled the rat right away and I waited for him to asked me for money, and when he did I told him sure and then I blocked him from my email address and I don't even use the chat line anymore. These people are real worms, but I smelled the rat almost instantly. I am so sorry you sent this man money.

Surely, offences will come, but woes to those whom they come. Luke 17:1 I think. I agree that these evil ones are the true losers. They can't even make a decent living. They can't love someone truely. They can't come to the light. I say they are losers because they can't even spell properly, or think more creatively. Anyway, they are bounced to a curse they brought themselves through the next generations. So don't you agree they are the true losers? We can earn the money back easily. They have to hide and scam further to know where their next meal will be. Worst still, they are so blacklisted that the whole world condemns their own countrymen. I know God is not mocked, we will reap what we sow. If these scammers are sowing these evil acts, they will reap the consequences in this generation and the next generation. They really don't know what they are doing. I feel sorry for them, and despise their degenerated minds. They are cursed for many generations to come. How can anyone make a dying story of their father, mother, wife and children? By the words they spoke, so it will happen! That's why they are pathetically cursing themselves. I was cheated of 10K once, but look, I earn it back in 1.5months. They can't even earn this sum in their whole life so they have to cheat women. LOSER, you Nigerian men!
