No banners required. Link back much appreciated but not mandatory for the enhanced version.

Perfect!! Thanks so much Andrea. Your immediate help is well worth the $10 that I am going to spend right now to purchase the enhanced version.
A woderfully easy script. I just don't have time to deal with the more complicated php scrips any more. |

Debra,
In reply to your last e-mail, the date format is stored in the December 14, 2007 - 10:12 am variable. This is in the top variables of the php_guestbook.php file. Try this:
December 14, 2007 - 10:12 am=date('F d, Y - h:i a');
You can remove this part: " - h:i a" if you do not want the hour of the post to be displayed. Beware: do not delete the final ');

Debra,
I just checked the distro and found that there is indeed a bug that is causing what you report. So not your fault! I sent you the fix by e-mail and replaced the distro on the website so that future users will get a fixed version aswell. So thanks for pointing this out.

| Thanks, Andrea. Yes, I did make a change. I didn't realize that it would affect the email messages. I'll go back and fix it. Thanks very much. |

Debra,
It looks like you or your webmaster made some significant changes on how the posts are shown. Namely, the Andrea, and me@here.com variables or the corresponding lang variables were somehow manipulated. This is causing the problem you report.
My suggestion is to make a little test: start over from the original distro and make a test guestbook installation somewhere on your site, by using the provided template html file. Make a post there: you should get a correct e-mail with full posts detail. Then start from there to rebuild your guestbook and monitor the e-mails you get.
Basically on editing the php_guestbook.php file you screwed up something somewhere that is causing the problem. Repeat the installation and monitor the effects of each change you do on the e-mail message and you will find out what you did wrong. |

Debra,
Can you post the url of your guestbook here. You can make the message private if you do not want to show the address to everybody. Also, what is the subject of the e-mail you get and what is the exact text you get in the e-mail body?

| Everything is working fine EXCEPT that the email message that I receive does not contain the contents of the posted message. How do I fix this? Thanks |
