Hi Andrea,

Have sorted my problem by pointing my menu to the guestbook instead of trying to embed it. And works fine that way.

Fine exept for the same problem as Chris only it's not showing in the guestbook but is still Yes in the admin setup.

Chris check your email.

Love the product! Set up was easy and working fine apart from below:

Just a small glitch though, in admin the 'Enable captcha verification' is checked 'yes', and save config clicked. However when I post (test post) on the guestbook it allows me to post without entering the CAPTCHA. If I go back to admin, the 'Enable captcha verification' has reverted to "No". Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks, Chris

Colin, if you look at the source code of your page with the guestbook (http://www.colin-allison.com/guest_book.html), you will see that clearly there is a problem: you have a incorporated the guestbook html as it is, with the head, body and everything in a page that already has it's own head and body. You need to make a cleaner integration, and then you will be able to adjust the details.
Best Regards-Andrea

Hi Andrea,

All working good, even managed to insert it into an Incomedia X5 template (the site creation software I use), but I need to make it narrower. Have tried changing the .guestbook.css width from 800 to 700 but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Can you enlighten me as to what else I need to do.

If you want to go and look: www.colin-allison.com then Guestbook in the menu.

Thanks

How do I know if it is installed correctly?

Posted by AndreaJuly 24, 2010 - 06:40 pm
Bob if it was so easy as you say, I would be submerged by spam, which is not the case at all.

Regards,

Admin

Colin, unfortunately if the free version does not work, the enhanced won't work either.

Are you sure php is correctly installed on your server? If you can't get it to work I will issue a refund, please let me know by e-mail. Regards-Admin

Just took Captcha out and tried to post but got same error is for the admin

HELP!!!

Posted by ColinJuly 24, 2010 - 12:29 pmcolin@ip24thetford.f9.co.uk
Oh yes forgot, the Captcha won't work in the Guestbook, so I don't know if that works either as I can't post without being able to see the letters to input?

This is really driving me up the wall!!
